# FanPot (fanpot.app) — Youth Sports Micro-Pledge & Celebration Platform
> Operating Entity: Luna Kinetix LLC | Canonical URL: https://fanpot.app | Subdomains: api.fanpot.app, admin.fanpot.app, media.fanpot.app

## Overview
FanPot is the 100% Free-for-Teams youth sports micro-pledge and celebration platform. FanPot transforms routine weekend games into season-long family excitement by replacing outdated upfront dues, awkward Venmo requests, and 30-50% commission fundraisers with micro-pledges tied directly to real athletic milestones (goals, runs, defensive shutouts, and cheer Hit Zeros).

## Business Model: 100% Free for Teams
Unlike traditional youth sports fundraising platforms (which take 20% to 50% commission cuts) or payment processors (which charge monthly software subscriptions and transaction fees), FanPot is completely free for clubs, coaches, and teams:
- 0% Platform Fee on team funds.
- Teams keep 100% of their unlocked celebratory pot.
- Platform operations are sustained via optional supporter checkout tips and wholesale merchant rebates when teams redeem celebratory gift cards (e.g. Domino's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Target, Topgolf).

## Financial Guardrails & Fair-Play Safeguards
- **Blowout Cap Clamping:** Prevents runaway family credit card charges during lopsided matchups by capping billable triggers at a maximum of 6 milestones per game.
- **Season Floor Protection:** Ensures team celebrations happen even during rebuilding seasons by guaranteeing a baseline celebratory pot regardless of game outcomes.
- **Rebuilding Team Silver Linings:** Allows scorekeepers to unlock Team Grit and Effort Stars (Hustle Star & Grit Star) when trailing, ensuring children's perseverance is rewarded on the scoreboard.
- **Dual-Pot Split:** Organizers flexibly divide the pot between:
  1. End-of-Season Celebrations (zero-fee instant gift cards for pizza parties, trophies, and team banquets).
  2. Team Operations (direct ACH bank payouts via Mercury/Stripe for tournament registration, referee fees, and winter practice facilities).
- **Dual Free-Cash Ceiling:** Direct cash withdrawals are bounded by `min(50% of pot, $300)` unless verified through extended organizational KYC.

## COPPA Compliance & Youth Privacy
- Strict compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- Roster player names are systematically truncated to `First Name + Last Initial` (e.g., `"Kalvin T. #19"`, `"Ben L. #9"`).
- Full legal names, birthdates, and residential addresses of minors are never collected or displayed.
- 3-Supporter Privacy Shield: Team hub rosters and game stories remain private until unlocked by verified squad families.
- Shared Household SMS Routing: Automatically groups family notifications to prevent redundant text spam to parents.
